who do we serve

The field of membership of this credit union shall be limited to those having the following common bond:

  1. persons who live, work, worship, or attend school within Lancaster County, Nebraska (3/17/03);
  2. members of record of this credit union as of March 17, 2003, the effective date of its conversion to a community charter;
  3. employees of this credit union;
  4. spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union;
  5. members of their immediate families or households; and
  6. organizations of such persons

Family members (grandparents, parents, spouses, brothers, sisters, children, and grandchildren) of anyone meeting one of the criteria for membership may also join the credit union and enjoy all credit union services.

The LINCOLN GOODYEAR EMPLOYEES FEDERAL CREDIT UNION operates using the philosophy of "once a member, always a member." This means if you voluntarily close your account, you may reopen it at a later date without meeting any of the criteria stated above.

All members, including retirees and those transferred from Lincoln for any reason, are encouraged to retain their membership. However, if they make the decision to withdraw from membership, they may re-join at a later date under the "once a member, always a member" philosophy.

APPLYING FOR A MEMBERSHIP
The appropriate forms may be obtained from the credit union, either by requesting in writing or in person or by completing the "More Information" card in the Membership Advantages brochure and returning it to the credit union office. A minimum share account balance of $25 must be maintained for membership.
